A rare blood type that exists in Korea and Japan only

cis-AB
It's a unique blood type of AB. The genes of A and B are not separated in this blood type. Instead, A genes and B genes exist within the same chromosome. The children of parents with cis-AB and O are either going to be AB or O. It violates the genetic hierarchy of blood types. This blood type was found around 1980~90 and it can only be found in southwest coast of Korea and Kyushu of Japan

Pann: A rare blood type that exists in Korea only

1. [+258, -4] Hul, it's so interesting that it only exists in Kwangju and Jeonnam. It exists in Kwangju, Jeonnam, and Japan only, which means it must be a blood type from Baekje ㅋㅋㅋㅋ It's interesting.  I wonder why it's like this. I hope life scientists do a lot of research and find the reason...

2. [+160, -7] Is it a blood type from Baekje?

3. [+158, -1] This is worth of a research. It's going to be a really interesting scientific and historical research topic.

4. [+73, -0] Don't you look down on K-blood again.

5. [+65, -0] Why does it exist in Korea only? It's so interesting and weird.

6. [+60, -0] Why do a lot of people have trouble understanding this? cis-AB and AB are different. Children acquire one of their parents' blood types. For example, AB is acquired by a father with AO(A) and a mother with BO(B). If the father is AB and the mother is OO, the child is either going to be AO(A) or BO(B) but for some reason, the child is AB, which is the case of this cis-AB.

7. [+50, -0] It was revealed that the current royal family of Japan is descendants of Baekje. That area of Japan is very close to Korea, so a lot of people there are originally from Korea.

8. [+38, -0] Oh this!!! I learned about it in my science class. Before cis-AB type was found, there were a lot of cases. For example, a student who knew about genetics found out that there was no way his blood type could came from his own parents. He started wondering if he was adopted and avoided his parents. His parents asked him what was wrong and when he finally confessed, his parents said it couldn't be true. They looked into his blood type and found that he was cis-AB. Another case is that a newborn baby was AB which didn't make sense. The husband asked the wife whose baby it was and that he couldn't raise the baby because it wasn't his. The wife cried and trashed the baby into a public bathroom. It was on the news. It turned out that the baby was cis-AB.
